My career spans PLC board-level P&L responsibility, executive coaching and business consultancy support focusing on leadership behavioural capability, diversity & inclusion, and intrapreneural people growth. I undertake short to medium term interim assignments in specialist areas of Organisatonal Design, and Development (ODD), Chief People Office (CPO), Learning & Development Head/Director (L&D), Executive and Management Coach, and Business Development Focus (Commercial & Strategy). I am a savvy leader, particulary interested in diversity, inclusion, equality and all-round leadership capabilities. My background is commercial.
I have lived experience with schizophrenia, ADHD, clinical depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) bipolar with psychosis, borderline personality disorder, addictions, and unipolar with caring for close family members. I am passionate about mental health and well-being.
I have a university-based Diploma in Understanding Mental Health Disorders, qualifications as a highly qualified cognitive behavioural coach, and NLP, practitioner and, I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD). I am studying for a Diploma in Sports Pyschology.
I am a committee member for the Royal College of Psychiatrists namely, National Clinical Audit for Psychosis and on the college’s Leadership & Management Committee supporting strategy and development themes. I am also a qualified tutor for foundation degree qualifications, Coaching with Psychology with the Insitute of Leadership & Management, and Leadership and Management qualifications with ILM at level 5 and 7. I was part of the strategic team with the Association for Coaching in Scotland for some 8 years. I am from Birmingham originally, and, I have made my home in Scotland, near the Scottish borders.
I am a vibrant and passionate individual and believe in the power of quirkiness, difference, individual culture, and embracing everyone’s skills within the team setting. I lead corporate and sports team-building days on my land, and utilise a 30-acre specialist setting during the summer months focusing on mental resilience, leadership, followership, camaraderie, communication, feedback and best of all, fun.
My best most important role in life is as Mum to my two boys, 14 and 19.
